Kayo Sakey, Co-Chair of New Zealand Asian Leaders, attended the 2026 Lunar New Year celebration at Parliament on Thursday 19 February, joining communities from across Aotearoa New Zealand to mark this special occasion.

The evening featured vibrant cultural performances that reflected the richness and diversity of our multicultural society. 

The Honourable Mark Mitchell, Minister for Ethnic Communities, delivered a heartfelt message highlighting the importance of inclusion and the valuable contributions ethnic communities make to our country.
