On 15 September 2025, NZAL Board member John Hong attended the five-year anniversary of Park Hyatt Auckland – the first five+ star hotel in Auckland.

 

At the event, Sir Bob Harvey (former Waterfront Auckland Chair and “Champion for Auckland – overseas investment”) acknowledged John for his instrumental role in securing Fuwah International’s investment in the hotel.
